In the 1980s, Faith Robbins laid down an innovative management philosophy for the company that her father John, a World War I veteran, had founded in 1935: build, own, lease, and manage.

It’s a philosophy built on a long-term commitment to growth, and it’s one we still follow today. Our founder John A. Robbins learned the building trades to help support his family following his father’s death. After fighting in WWI, John founded a design and construction firm, working on such iconic structures as the 555 building in Bala Cynwyd, the Emlen Center at Cheyney University, the Byberry State Hospital in Northeast Philadelphia, and the A&P Warehouse in New York City. John went on to pioneer shopping center development across PA, NJ, and DE.

In 1978, John’s daughter Faith took up his mantle, creating a multi-tiered organization that addressed all phases of commercial property ownership and enhancement. Faith instilled a family atmosphere, a legacy her sons have continued since her death in 2008. Today, CEO Christopher Robbins and the entire Robbins team strive to uphold and build upon the family legacy.
